My philosophy towards wedding photography:
Personally, my wedding day was the best day of my life. Marrying my best friend with our families present to bear witness– hers from Italy and mine from Florida and up the east coast– was such a beautiful once-in-a-lifetime experience. And when I look back at those photos, I’m distinctly reminded of that day and its
many memories: the smell of the animal sanctuary, the songs sang at the top of our lungs, the Italians playing cornhole for the first time while gawking at my redneck friend with a handlebar stache and a mullet..so many memories come racing back.
A photographer’s job on this day is to capture your memories so they don’t escape you. And furthermore, they should help facilitate this day into being the best day of your life. That means going beyond photography; it means helping you stay focused on each other. On the beautiful experiences happening around you. On this once-in-a-lifetime moment. On true love.
When I shoot a wedding, it’s my personal goal to make sure that ten years from now, you look back at your photos and you remember the moments that would normally wash away with time, and you both sit there and think to yourselves,
“..Wow, that was the best day of my life.”

Let’s say the obvious part out loud: you are in love with your soulmate, not your photographer.
After the (candid) ceremony and group photos are knocked out, I tend to steal the couple away for a posed photo session. The reason for this is because after that ceremony, whether you know it or not..
you are radiating with this post-ceremony afterglow that looks sooo good in your photos.
The way I tend to pose my couples is by demonstrating a pose myself, placing them in it, and then letting them naturally interact, letting the magic happen. I am deeply resourceful for those who need an extra hand, but I strive to capture that authentic emotion, which naturally and sincerely occurs when you are wrapped up with your dearly beloved.
