In this industry, a photographer who can take a quality photo are a dime a dozen. And believe me when I say: I love that! I will forever be a supporter of anyone pursuing their passions and will even offer help along the way; life is too short to not chase your dreams.

However, there is an equally important component to photography that many photographers forget: how we make you feel.

Photography is not only about taking a beautiful photo. Rather, it is about providing the space for you to feel comfortable, confident, and in collaboration with your photographer. It’s about creating a feeling worth remembering. It’s about inviting out your authentic self…because there is nothing more beautiful than that.

If there is one thing I’ve learned from over ten years of experience with weddings, portraits, and extensively photographing people, it’s that when you look back at your photos, the memory of how you felt during a photoshoot is just as important– dare I say more important– than achieving technical perfection.

Creating that space is what I offer to my clients. It is what I teach in seminars, and it reflects how I engage with not only my career, but with the world.

..All of that being said, I will say that I still do take mighty fine photos.

A black and white self portrait of Paul Adams. He is looking into the camera with a calm gaze and a side smile. He personally thinks this photo is a little cheesy, but he hasn't found the time to take a better one yet.
